We have been on the road again for two weeks now. Our first stop was Queenstown for Jude to have a Tight Five weekend which is a bi-annual get together for five close friends that have made it a must do for some years now. While Jude was there I headed to Cromwell for a couple of days riding my MTB.
After Judes weekend we headed to Tekapo for the evening, a lovely walk into the village rounded the day off nicely. The next day we headed Geraldine to purchase some more immunity shots and sauces from Barkers as well as brunch before winding up the day at Ashburton to catch up with dear friends John and Carol.
After that it was off to Christchurch where we stayed for a few nights at the Woolston Club, a lovely place close to the Christchurch CBD. The first thing the day we had fun riding the Bottle Lake MTB Track.
Being of a senior age now has its bonuses as having a Gold Card it was easier and free! to catch the bus into the city. Tom had mentioned ZZAN’s as a worth while place to visit for a chicken meal and he was not wrong.

After a good night sleeping of last nights meal. It was off to McLeans Island to ride the MTB track, 15km ride on power mode and it was fun.

After another day we moved to Kaiapoi for a few days and while there did a ride on the Pegasus Trail to Pegasus and back (27km) and the next day an easy ride from Kaiapoi to Smiths Creek and back (20km).

Although using power on the Bottle Lake and McLeans Island Tracks, it was still a good calorie burn off as you tend to mix effort with Adrenalin, I will give my Jude a big high five for her effort around this track and the Bottle lake circuit, every time I turned to look behind me she was right on my tail and when she was leading I had to work hard to stay with her.
