Five Fantastic days in Te Anau to see in 2025. Did a few walks, met a few new people, met regular roadies we see in other locations and made new friends. Te Anau at this time of the year is a busy little place and the Lake is a hotspot for Xmas and New Year holidays…. It was packed which is good for Te Anau. We did a drive up Ramparts Road to the lookout via Mount York Road and as expected the view was lovely. Caught up with Stu Burnby in the morning and then a good to catchup with Peter and Diana early evening. We were invited to a BBQ by Ken later in the evening where I ended up in a friendly chat with two real Democrat Americans which lead to a US political discussion… they were surprised at how much I knew including information with the receipts proving accuracy. How did the discussion start… they asked me what was it with the Trump 2024 hat I was wearing and I said it was my fishing hat which was good for attracting bites.🤣😂👍🏼.It was actually nice to sit down and talk amicably with a liberal for once.👍🏼 And yes I support Trump. Managed to get a happy New Year to everyone now that I got Nonny, Steve Garbo and Lee Melbourne, who celebrated at the Inkerman Hotel. Was a 4pm start, midnight and got home about 0130 party animals.🤣😂👍🏼
