We spent seven days at Motueka and enjoyed the MTB tracks at Kaiteriteri. Good to see Jude hammering her bike around the tracks, overall running up Over 100kms on the bikes…. and the only downside was a damaged wing mirror indicator… small story!🤨
But now it’s time to climb over the Tākaka hills Golden Bay where we will spend a week or so in the Golden Bay Area. For the next three days we will stay at Port Tarakohe.
We arrived at Port Tarakohe NZMCA setup camp, the weather is amazing, sunny, warm and the lightest of breeze. After we had brunch it was off for a 22km bike ride into Tākaka and back.
Lovely easy ride and no need for any power assist. Jude while sitting in beautiful warm sunlight realise we had no alcohol beverages so pops back into Tākaka for supplies… she’s been away for sometime so I think she may have done a bit of window shopping.
Looks like a long night tonight as our friendly neighbours enjoy the evening outside our bedroom window. The hardest part of them enjoying themselves for me was the smell of their Traeger style portable BBQ as it reminded me of the beautiful Traeger cooked meals back in the farm… lucky buggers!🤣😂👍🏽
Tomorrow may bring on a bit of drone fishing?
