Was a mild morning with a southerly breeze so straight after a morning cup of tea, we enjoyed a brisk walk around the Invercargill Estuary Track. Notice a large number of ducks, Royal Spoonbills and Swans on the estuary… I sure there will be more seeking safety in the no shooting zone this weekend as the seasonal duck shoot starts. After the walk it was time for a coffee.

A month or so ago Jude had heard of a coffee roaster situated on Leven St, Invercargill and had purchased some of their coffee beans to try of which we were quite happy with the flavour when we used it with our stove top expresso pot. On arrival we were warmly greeted by the a staff member who gave us the menu and while we were discussing what to try he made a suggestion to try a certain toastie of which we thought why not.

Before we sat down had a browse around the cafe, it was not over cluttered with items, as you enter through the doors the counter is immediately on the left, and on the same side further down a long table with multiple chairs, to the right a couple of tables followed by a few items for sale and at the far end was the operations area for roasting their blend of coffee beans.

Although the cafe was practically empty, it was not echoey and with the lovely choice of music which was at a non intrusive decibel level it just had a lovely ambience.

The coffee arrived shortly followed by the toasties we had ordered, as we had ordered different toasties it was decided to share half with each other . All we can say was both the choices were just awesome.

We highly recommend Amplify Coffee Co. for a lovely experience and to support their effort to make Invercargill a great place to visit.
