Braemar Road: – by Jude Getting my trusty map book out I browse for places to go, spot Braemar Road.. Tekapo to Pukaki which cuts behind Old Man Range and across barren country or where the military play games, open tussock country great for playing hide’n’seek! Lots of dire warnings do not enter as live munitions could be being fired, not that I would… we did see army vehicles in the far distance trundling into the rolling hills. We have been out doing things every day barring one where the weather was just not suitable for anything. We have always managed to find something interesting to do wether its hiking, biking, dining, Movies, theater plays, 4×4 drive or some other Cantebury attraction, really there is soRead More →

The weather for the past 3 weeks has been particularly dismal some sort of record was set 17 hours of sunshine in 17 days!!! We spent some of those grey days at the botanical gardens, Museum and Art Gallery well worth the effort! The last three days haveRead More →
