(Above image: The “Sign Of The Kiwi” cafe.) What a bugger of a game the boys (AB’s)put in last night… hey at least they can play like morons and still win, even with one man up they were not convincing and very lucky. The public are divided on the red card issue however the excuse he had his eyes on the ball is a tactic that players are adopting to make it look like they’re going for the ball, but he never left the ground and run underneath Barrett. Anyway we did another MTB ride up Evans Pass Road, along the hill tops with all it ups and down to Dyers Pass to enjoy a coffee at the “Sign Of The Kiwi” cafe. We had played tag with a couple of riders about our age while riding along the tops and although they had us on the climbs, we had them on the flat and downhill sections. Yes Jude and I have ebikes and these two had normal MTB’s but we were not using power assist which meant they had a bike one third the weight of Jude and I and that is why they had the advantage on the climbs. Nice couple to bump into and once at the Sign Of The Kiwi, we all sat down for a chat and a coffee…. so cool just to be able to chat to strangers with a common interest. With the coffee finished and a twenty kilometer ride home back along the Port Hills we did enjoy the power assist and just flew home via Mount Pleasant Road through Redcliff to enjoy a hot Lemon honey and ginger cupper at Joe’s Garage. We have become well known at Joe’s Garage and the staff are so cool to talk to. Well home now (House sit home that is) getting ready to go out for a Vietnamese evening for dinner.
