This is one of the best games I have seen between two very good teams. Although the Buckaroos won this game 36 – 21 both teams were dynamic and displayed good defence and shooting skills. The Buckaroos were a tad slow starting and quickly found themselves down by five goals as Drummond came firing on all cylinders.
As the game progressed the Buckaroos found their mojo and pegged back into contention with accurate passing and good defence. Drummond showed a lot of courage and kept attacking and putting a lot of pressure on the Buckaroos and managing to net plenty of goals, however by the end of the third quarter the Buckaroos were gaining a good lead. Drummond never gave up and started closing the gap with a very good effort from their mid court and goal shooters stepping up. But in the end the lead by the Buckaroos was just too far out of reach.
A fantastic game to watch, very competitive with the young girls on both teams showing fantastic skills for their ages.
