Proud mum Jude, Tom and Kimberlky.

Last night was the last night that Tom and Kimberly in the South Island NZ for up to 2 years as they head to Auckland before flying to Canada. While in Auckland they will stay with Stewart Marshall until they fly out on Sunday. Being the last time here for some time to come we went out for an evening meal meeting Sophie and Finn at a Mexican restaurant in Central Christchurch.

The food was very very nice and reasonably priced… (nice choice Sophie & Finn). Lots of “Remember when” moments as Tom and Sophie reminisced on the “ole” days gave us all some good laughs. Some awesome cocktails were had before the night came to a end. It now morning and both Kim and Tom are up with the birds so it was a early start to the airport for breakfast of which Jude and I joined them. After a good feed of pancakes, grilled banana, bacon and maple syrup, it was time for the good byes. As Kimberly and Tom entered the security inspection lineup, it was a little emotional but at the same time excited to see their plans all come together. Safe travels Tom & Kimbo.

We now have about two weeks left here in Sumner and we are still having fun. Today we hit Bottle Lake Mountain Bike Tracks again. Although it was still overcast and cool and the track was so wet and had lots of pools of water up to a foot deep in places and we got wet and filthy it was really great fun knocking out 27km around the tracks. Time to head home for a warm shower and watch the Crusaders and French Barbarians play tonight.

We will be heading south ofter this house sit and we both look forward to catching up with our family and friends for a while before heading back up North for possibly the next two years.
