Wednesday was a special evening as my Tamariki Adam, Dae-Maree and Kasharnae got together for an evening meal (well fish’n’chips anyway lol). It was special because they arranged it amongst themselves, the downside was Jude and I were in the top of the South Island at Port Tarakohe, Pohara and therefore could not be there for this special occasion, but that’s how timing is sometimes.

It was so cool that Adams mum and dad Brian and Isabel (long story 😁) also visited Dae-Maree and Danial’s to meet them and most of my mokopuna along with family members Sue and Baz who were there for the occasion. As Jude and I sadly could not be there for this special event Jude and I joined them for a video chat. It is an understatement to say this meant a lot to me personally. Lots of laughs and new memories were made and I look forward to Christmas when Adam who lives in Adelaide returns for a couple of weeks. Sometimes it is hard to explain the warmth and happiness of reconnecting family ties.
