After a couple of cold spells a couple of years ago we decide to have a diesel heater installed into our Auto-Trail Delaware. We chose a Webasto 4Kw. Had the heater professionally installed for assurances it was done right but more for the accountability if it did not function correctly. It took me about two weeks to get use to the ticking of the fuel pump but now don’t even notice it. What were the main benefits we noticed, firstly the heat is different it seems to be dryer, since changing to a diesel heater we have never had fogged up widows, secondly the speed of warming up is 3x faster than the gas and fourth is the economy, we can leave the heater setting at 1.5 out of the 7 level setting for 10 hrs and only use 1.2 litres of diesel. We feel that we could have gone for the 2Kw diesel heater and it would have been sufficient. Overall we found it was the best thing to do for the heating of our fulltime home.
